This pack has two different designs based off Philippians 4:13 and John 15:1-2
"In Phil 4:13, Paul shares that in all circumstances, the highs and lows, the full and empty times in life, it was the strength of the Lord and trust in his provision and power that was his secret to strength. Though I still find a lot of hope in the humble and courageous aspect of this verse, I love thinking of it in the context of life’s times of blessings and times of struggle and trusting no matter that it is Christ’s strength that can accomplish all things!
Now the image for this may seem quite odd or a bit silly, but the image of a whale and giant squid battling has been one I have always loved the epic nature and massive battle (aspects I relate to in my life struggles). Then I thought, what if out of the air swooped a giant eagle, and lifted both these creatures away as the true victor. And to me that is what I see God doing so often in my life. In the midst of an epic battle that I may seem to be tangled or lost in, or perhaps feeling prideful in fighting so courageously and forgetting where my true strength comes from ... It is then that God reveals his impossible unexpected power!!
The second verse John 15:1-2 (really I could have used that whole chapter!!) is one I have always loved because of the fruit bearing vs pruning aspect. I try to view my faith journey and life though this lens a bit. To lay before the Lord my branches and ask what parts of my life are bearing fruit, and where am I not. Often God will do this, without me asking!! He finds a way to prune, though often painful, the areas of life that are taking life rather than producing it. I also love that it calls to action, in the fact that we cannot grow or be pruned without remaining near the Gardener. The scriptures is a KEY part of this chapter, in that we must remain in His word to help remain IN Him.
I love the symbolism of the elements, and for me it is one that is a quick reminder just seeing the axe, branch, fruit, skull (non fruit bearing) and the foundation of Christ." - Luke Flowers
